about wonting

i am a new york based illustrator and product designer with background in graphic design. a graduate of new york's parson's school of design, i have worked, in varying capacities, with conde nast, hearst, kidrobot, sportswear international, brand new school, young and rubicam, sony corp., st. martin's press, etc. past and ongoing projects have included magazine and book illustrations, advertisements, stationery, and product design.

what does wonting mean and why? wonting is a fun mesh up of my name- christine wong, which i have used in the past in my illustration career. through the years my style has changed and i want to differentiate the new me from the old, and so the name wonting was born.
